4th of July Festivities being Held in the Bay Area

(All events listed will be held on Saturday, July 4th)

LEAGUE CITY -Citizen Appreciation Day - League Park, located at 512 2nd Street, is where the festivities for the annual 4th of July, Citizen’s Appreciation Day will take place. You are welcome to stop by between 11:30 am until 4 pm to enjoy the family fun. League City’s Mayor, City Council members, along with the Parks Board and Parks Recreation staff members will be serving refreshments. Live music will be played by The Relics and the Symphonic Winds of League City. All concessions (including hot dogs, soft drinks, popcorn, snow cones, and cotton candy) are FREE!  Face painting, moonwalk, balloon artists, and a petting zoo will also be available at no charge.

DICKINSON –The Pilot Club of Dickinson will host their annual 4th of July Parade at 9 am. The parade route will begin at the Dickinson Episcopal Church, 4613 FM Hwy 3, and end at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6378, 5204 FM Hwy 3. For more info, call 281.5224-2871 or 281.543-5780.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6378, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the City of Dickinson will hold their 14th Annual 4th of July Community-Wide Picnic at the 5204 FM Hwy 3. Festivities will begin at 10 am and end at 4 pm. Food vendors, arts & crafts booths, and family fun activities are some of the attractions being offered.

EL LAGO
FRIENDSWOOD -The City of Friendswood will hold its Annual 4th of July Grand Parade at 10 am. The parade route begins at FM Hwy 3, at Heritage Drive and ends at Stevenson Park, 1100 South Friendswood Drive (FM 518). After the parade there will be a carnival until 3:30 pm; Luther and the Healers will be the featured band. At 7 pm the carnival moves to Centennial Park, 2200 S. Friendswood Drive; for evening entertainment. The Spazmatics will perform, and fireworks show will begin at 9:20 pm. PEARLAND– The City of Pearland will hold its Celebration of Freedom from 6 pm to 9 pm, at the Pearland High School Football Stadium, 3775 South Main. A VFW military salute begins the evening, followed by music by The Spinsations. Food will be available for purchase (or bring your own). There will also be kids activities available. SEABROOK–The City of Seabrook hosts their annual 4th of July Kids Parade & Family Fun at Meador Park, 2100 Meyer Road, be held from 10 am to 12 pm. Free hot dogs, drinks, games and much more! We kick off the fun with a Kids Parade around Meador Park, 2100 Meyer Road. There will also be a bouncy house and train, plus free vouchers for the kids to swim at Pelican Bay after the event! KEMAH–Kemah’s annual 4th of July Patriotic Parade begins with the Children’s Parade at 9:30 am, followed by the Main Parade at 10 am. Both parades will start at the Seventh St., and end on Ninth Street. Food and drink will be provided at the Kemah Community Center. The Fourth of July Celebration will live music will be played at the Kemah Boardwalk throughout the day. Fireworks over Galveston Bay will begin at 9:30 pm.

NASSAU BAY–Celebrate Independence Day at the Annual Parade & Fireworks Show. The Parade starts at 6 pm; Pie judging contest begins at 6:15 pm; Music food and family fun activities will be found at Lake Nassau Park, 6 pm to 9 pm.

TEXAS CITY
WEBSTER – The City of Webster offers July 4th Family Fun at the Texas Avenue Park, 17100 North Texas Avenue, beginning at 5 pm. Besides a variety of demonstrations and games, free watermelon and snow cones will be offered. Fireworks will begin at 9:15 pm. For more info, visit the City website.

Webster’s new Splash Pad, located at Texas Avenue Park, will have its official ribbon-cutting ceremony earlier at 4 pm. After the ceremony, the pad will remain open until 6 pm.
