Kemah’s Greek Food & Wine Festival Offers “Fun on the Bay, The Greek Way”

It’s time again to “Get Your Greek On” when the Kemah Greek Food and Wine Festival is held September 13-15, at the 6th Street Lot adjacent to the Kemah’s Visitor’s Center. This event has been held for 20 years and has outgrown its previous location at Clear Lake Park; large crowds are expected this year. Experience the Greek Culture with live music, Greek food and wine, dancing, kid’s entertainment! Thymios Partalas and the Papahatzis Greek Super American Band will be the main headliner for musical entertainment all three days of this event.
New activities being held this year are: grape stomping, Spartan Arm-Wrestling matches, a Greek pizza-eating contest and a Toga Fun Run that could attract upwards of 300 sheet-clad athletes. Over the three days, visitors can also enjoy Greek cooking demonstrations and visit a market selling items such as olive oil, olive trees, gifts and T-shirts.

The Festival will be held Friday, 4-10pm; Saturday, 10am-10pm; and Sunday,10am-6pm. Tickets are $8 online and $10 at the gate. More information can be found on the event’s website.
