Check Out These Family Fun Activities from Morning to Evening on Saturday on January 30th

Pearland – 20th Annual Winterfest
The City of Pearland celebrates the season during their 20th Annual Winterfest on January 30th, at the Pearland Rec Center and Natatorium, 4141 Bailey Road, from 10 am to 5 pm. free parking is located at Turner High School and a free shuttle will run to and from the event throughout the day. The outdoor festival features snow tubing, carnival attractions, food vendors, live entertainment, and all kinds of wintery fun.

Tickets are $10 for children age 3 through 16 and $4 for adults. Children under 2 are free. Tickets can be purchased at the Recreation Center through Jan. 29, with a $2 discount for those who bring a non-perishable food item for the Pearland Neighborhood Center. Seabrook/Kemah 17th Annual Yachty Gras Boat Parade
America’s largest Mardi Gras Boat Parade, the Grand Night Yachty Gras Boat Parade, will be held for the 17th year on January 30th, at 7 pm. festively decorated boats will begin the parade at the Seabrook Yacht Club,  travel down Clear Lake to the Clear Creek Channel, and go past the Kemah Boardwalk. This year’s theme is “Excitement of the Sea”. Spectators at the boardwalk can try to catch beads and doubloons tossed by revelers from the boats.

On Sunday, January 31st, the Parade Awards Presentation will be held at the Kemah Aquarium, at 10 am; awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & Best of Show. A “Community Krewe Award,” will be presented to the Marina that has the most registered boats in the parade. Yachty Gras is a classic Clear Lake area event that attracts tourism to the area communities and supports local charities.
