Niche 2017 Best Schools – How Houston Area Schools & Districts Rank

Niche recently released their annual report about national, state and regional public school rankings. The 2017 Best School Districts ranking is based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education. Ranking factors include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, public school district ratings, and more.

The 100 top-rated Public School Districts in Texas Report can be found here.

Three local school districts were rated in the top 50: #16 - Friendswood ISD; #18 - Pearland ISD; and #32 - Clear Creek ISD. Information about the ranking methodology used by Niche can be found on their website.

The 40 top-rated Public School Districts in the Houston Metro Area Report can be found here. All 6 of the Bay Area Local school districts (covered by Brockway Realty) ranked within this report: #1 – Friendswood ISD; #3 – Pearland ISD; #5 – Clear Creek ISD; #17 – Alvin ISD; #24 – Dickinson ISD; and #29 – Texas City ISD.
