Southeast League City is Location for Newest Development

There will soon be a lot of “buzz” about League City’s newest (and possibly largest) residential development, Lakes of Quail Pointe. The location of the development is south of League City Parkway, north of FM 646, east of South Shore Blvd, and west of Hwy 146 (near the subdivisions of Mar Bella and Whispering Lakes Ranch).

Jerry LeBlanc, of Galveston Bay Investors LLC, has proposed the new development. According to a recent article in The Daily News, “LeBlanc has also been involved with the Hidden Lakes development and last year took on an 87-acre development on the east side of Texas City, which plans to develop 300 homesites.” LeBlanc is quoted as saying ‘he hopes to start moving dirt in the next six months. The goal is to have the first lots on the ground by the start of the 2017-2018 school year.’

League City’s City Council approved an application (June 14, 2016) to rezone the area for single-family residential development with lot sizes of 5,000 to 10,000 square feet. The 210-acre tract of land will be divided into 600 lots, with homes starting about $275,000.

More information from the announcement about the Lakes of Quail Pointe can be found on The Daily News webpage.
