“The Crossings” Has Opened in League City

Celebrating their “official opening”, the Methodist Retirement Community named “The Crossings”, celebrated with a ribbon cutting on April 7, 2016. The facility offers 116 independent living apartments, 36 assisted living apartments, 48 skilled nursing residences and 24 memory support residences in an Alzheimer’s Unit.

Residents of The Crossings will have access to assisted livingmemory support and skilled nursing. If they need care, they can expect our 24-hour on-site staff to attentively provide for their needs and comfort. The staff typically includes physicians, registered nurses, licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants, plus physical, occupational and speech therapists. Skilled nursing also provides effective rehabilitation services for those recovering from illness, injury or surgery.

A variety of continuing care is available on one campus.
  • Independent living in our Woodland Creek apartments for active seniors who seek a community of friends, freedom from home ownership responsibilities, and opportunities for growth and engagement.
  • Assisted living at The Forest, because a little care can restore confidence and help maintain independence.
  • Memory support in The Garden, serving those who have age-related dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
  • Skilled nursing at The Haven, where you find long-term care and rehabilitation.
According to the website, “Convenient, comfortable and maintenance-free, The Crossings is planned as a place where friendship blossoms, opportunity knocks at the door, and residents grow. The only Life Care community in the area, this will be a worry-free lifestyle, because residents will know their estates are protected and they have a cost-management plan for long-term care - just in case it's needed someday.”

The Crossings is located at 255 North Egret Bay Blvd; more information can be found on their website and Facebook page. This new facility joins the following Senior Living/Retirement communities located in The Bay Area: (League City) Regal Estates of League City, Cottages of Clear Lake, Baywind Village Skilled Nursing and Rehab, Regal Estates of League City, Orchard Park at Victory Lakes Assisted Living and Memory Care, Lake Haven Communities; (Friendswood) Village on the Park, Brookdale Friendswood; (Pearland) Brookdale Pearland, (Texas City) Elmcroft of the Mainland; and (Webster) Brookdale Clear Lake
