The
2016 Best School Districts in Houston Metro report was released on April 13, 2016. The following
factors were considered when calculating this information: Academic grade; Health & Safety Grade; Parent/Student Surveys on Overall Experience; Student Culture & Diversity Grade; Teachers Grade; Resources & Facilities Grade. Statistics obtained from the U.S. Department of Education represent the most recent data available, usually from 2013-2014, as self-reported by the school district.
Niche.com reviewed their database which contained records for 12,153 school districts. School districts were not included in the ranking process if they did not have sufficient data. The final
ranking results in 10,563 school districts receiving a grade, with 10,488 of those also receiving a numerical ranking. An inspection of this list on the
Niche.com website showed rankings from #1 to #82. The school districts named and their rankings are:
