League City Eco-Friendly Infrastructure Community Open House – October 19th

The City of League City and the Texas Coastal Watershed Program will host a community open house to inform local residents about green infrastructure solutions, storm water best management practices in the Creekside neighborhood, and to take input from the public.

You are invited to learn about the benefits of different eco-friendly ways to reduce storm water runoff and learn about the many benefits of an eco-friendly approach to storm water management you can use on your property. Green infrastructure uses vegetation and soil to manage rainwater where it falls. Information will be available about rain gardens, bio swales, permeable pavement and rain barrels.

The community open house will be held at Butler Longhorn Museum, located at 1220 Coryell Street in League City, on Saturday, October 19, from 10:30am to 12pm.

The Texas Coastal Watershed Program (TCWP) is part of Texas Sea Grant and Texas AgriLife Extension Service , and is affiliated with the national NEMO organization. TCWP provides education and outreach to local governments and citizens on the impacts of land use on watershed health and water quality.
